Donation to Sagaing Hills monasteries and nunneries
Seven months since the military’s seizure of power, a spiraling humanitarian catastrophe in Myanmar triggered by skyrocketing Covid-19 cases and widespread violence in the country.
While the country is still reeling from the shockwaves of the military takeover, the monastic communities in Saging Hills are facing more challenges than ever to get enough donation to get by. Most the monastics stopped going alms round due to the quick spread of Covid.
Our contacts in Sagaing have cooperated with Better Burma to send donations to over 30 monasteries and nunneries. The funds were supported by Bhikkhu Bodhi’s Buddhist Global Relief.
We are very grateful for the donors’ generosity and volunteers’ hard work to support the people of Myanmar!
