Helping volunteers and their community

We received request for help from a local nonprofit in Nyaung Shwe, Shan State. With the banks shut down in that area, international donors could not send in funds. The volunteers and their community were in dire need for food and medicine. Many people in that community were sick without diagnosis and treatment. They did not know what to do anymore.

Better Burma sent donation to the nonprofit. The volunteers started sharing food and medicine to support their community.

We believe in empowering people to help each other with immediate basic needs regain stability through community philanthropy. Thank you to all those donors who have allowed us to do this!
