Making it all come alive!
Listeners who checked out our recent podcast, “Courage in Chinland,” might have noticed an unusual introduction to the normal beginning on Insight Myanmar Podcast episodes. The music that greeted this show was from none other than Thawn Kham, a noted Chin musician, who sings in his native Zomi Chin as well as English and Burmese. A personal friend of Mark, the Chin activist who we spoke to on this show, he generously offered this song to be used.
On our side, we are trying to provide a more authentic feel to bring alive the lives and perspectives of each unique guest. This has included such features as the jungle sounds surrounding Dave Eubank and the Free Burma Rangers, the punk music notes blared out by Kyaw Kyaw’s Rebel Riot, and the defection messages produced by Operation Hannah Hannoi.
With each guest comes a different set of backgrounds and conditions that bring to life who they are and how they are experiencing the world, and every episode we are doing our best to bring this out as vividly as possible. Keep listening, and enjoy!
