A successful completion

The following update is from the Food For Nuns team, now in the process of collecting donation for Burmese Buddhist nuns around Yangon unable to receive proper food during this pandemic.

“We are very happy to communicate to all of you the completion of the first stage in our project 'Food For Nuns'.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of people we were able to support 23 nunneries with enough food for ten days, after which we will proceed to deliver a second relief package covering one month worth of food.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are extremely grateful for all the support received since we open this project, and so are the beneficiaries of it, and it truly fills our hearts with joy knowing that we are able to support the monastics in need during these challenging times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Food for Nuns team has come to an agreement to close the fundraiser on GoFundMe indefinitely, since we have surpassed our initial goal and given the amount the project has collected. As we initially mentioned, we hope to be able to extend our support for 3 months, hoping that by that time the current situation is more stable and the monastics will be able to go on their daily food alms-round.

May all beings be free from enmity, free from affliction, free from distress. May they be happy!”
