Success!
Excellent news on the effort to feed Burmese Buddhist nuns during the pandemic. Read the following update from Food for Nuns:
Celebrating with you all and updating you about what we've done so far!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have started our Day 6 reaching almost 90% of our goal; 147 donors and hundreds of shares have made this possible because of the trust placed on us and the connection with what we are doing; that wish of kindness and compassion in order to bring support during this period of challenges. Thank you! Sādhu Sādhu Sādhu.

Wondering about our work in the first week of the project? Here's some light on it:
As a team we are working on many activities to implement stage 1, especially now that we are set on start delivering our relief support.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the 'Stage 1' of our project, we are going to reach out to 23 nunneries with a total of 227 nuns, of whom 146 are girls under the age of 18. Initially we will be supporting them for 10 days and will extend this period for stages 2 and 3. These nunneries have already been contacted and right now we are working on the plan for delivering the first supplies which will arrive in the next coming days.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That's all for now, very busy days are coming ahead as we start delivering our support, so we will keep you posted!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
May these acts of kindness and generosity be a supportive condition for our own practice, for the benefit of all beings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
May all beings be well and happy
