Cooking oil for displaced villagers
The following donation request has been sent to us by a local group who we have supported before, and which has informed us about a growing urgent need among their community. While we currently have funds to support part of their initiative, we are not able to fund their entire need, and so are reaching out to our wider donor community to see if we might be able to provide further support. Thank you for your generous consideration.
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to request your compassionate support. Our communities have been devastated by the ongoing civil war in our country, resulting in significant loss and suffering for the inhabitants.
As you may be aware, Myanmar has been facing a prolonged and devastating civil war, leading to widespread displacement, destruction of homes, and loss of lives. Our regional villages have not been spared from the ravages of this conflict. The military's actions have resulted in the burning of homes, leaving a total of over 400 households now in need of urgent support.
In order to provide immediate relief and support to these affected families, we have formulated a donation plan. We aim to distribute bottles of vegetable oil, a vital commodity in their daily lives, to each household. This simple gesture can make a significant difference in their ability to cook and nourish themselves during these difficult times.
Based on our assessment, the cost for this project is estimated to be 1,500,000 MMKS. Our team is already mobilized to visit the affected villages promptly, and to procure the necessary supplies and deliver them to the communities within one week. Additionally, we plan to document the entire process through photographs, certificates, and detailed cost breakdowns to provide complete transparency and accountability to our generous donors.
With utmost respect, I urge you to consider contributing to this crucial initiative. Your support can make a significant impact on the lives of these communities who are struggling to rebuild their lives amidst the chaos of the civil war. Together, we can offer a glimmer of hope and a sign of solidarity in their darkest times.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
With heartfelt respect,
Comrade in the Region.
