Monastic School Visits and Support

We are delighted to share an exciting update from our local team, who recently visited monastic schools to provide invaluable support. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we were able to make a positive impact during our visit. However, it is important to acknowledge that there is an ongoing need for assistance in these schools. In order to prioritize the safety and security of the schools, we have taken precautions to remove any specific names or locations from their report.

If you share our passion for empowering these monastic schools and helping them deliver quality education, we invite you to consider making a contribution of any size. Your support will enable us to continue providing necessary resources and teaching materials to these deserving students. Together, let's make a lasting difference in the lives of these young learners. Your generosity can help create a brighter future for them.

1) — Monastic School

—- School is located in —— and it has been providing free education to students since 2019. Initially, the school had over 200 students but due to the political situation in Myanmar, the number of students has increased to over 700. Therefore, school is in need of stationary supplies to support the effective learning process of the children. School is running a free of charge system with 15 teachers. We contributed 3 whiteboards, 30 dozens of notebooks, pencils and erasers, etc.

2) —— Nunnery school

The Nunnery school has been situated in —— since 2010. The school is running with over 281 students who are mostly ethnic children from remote civil war-affected zones, and 12 teachers . These students come from Shan state, Hsa Khaing and nearby villages. Over 100 students live on the school campus and the school provides free accommodation and meals for those students. The school girls here are mostly nuns and they have a lack of limited personal hygiene items for their health. Hence, we contributed 5 sacks of rice and 50 packs of pads in addition to the stationeries.

3) —- School

This school is located in a remote village in —-. It has 181 students in total with 106 male students and 75 female students. Most of them are from farmer’s families.
