The military coup in Myanmar, which began over two years ago, has led to the loss of countless innocent lives and the unjust detention of many more. The violence inflicted upon peaceful civilian population has been particularly brutal. In the face of this dire situation, your donations have had a tangible impact on the lives of those affected.

Thanks to your support, we have been able to provide essential supplies such as food, water, and shelter to families displaced by the violence. We have also been able to offer crucial medical supplies and support to the injured. Additionally, your contributions have enabled us to finance advocacy and awareness campaigns aimed at ending the violence and restoring democracy in Myanmar.

While you may already be aware that we collaborate with trusted local groups, who inform us of their urgent needs, you may not be familiar with the countless 3 a.m. calls we receive. These calls come from our local contacts, desperately reaching out when their communities face life-or-death situations with nowhere else to turn. In such critical moments, there is no time to gather information or engage in fundraising efforts; we simply provide whatever support we can spare.

It is precisely in these situations that an emergency fund would prove invaluable. With such a fund in place, we would be able to swiftly and flexibly respond to requests for emergency assistance.

Although we are steadfast in our commitment to helping those in need, our resources are limited, and we are unable to fulfill every request for assistance that reaches us. This is why we humbly appeal to our supporters to help us raise funds for an emergency fund, which will enable us to promptly respond to extraordinary, life-and-death circumstances.
