Teach The Children Well

A local group that we have been supporting through our donation fund has sent us the following message and request for further support. They are doing their best to provide education to children even amidst a war, but are now running low on all resources. As our own donation fund is now running low, we are not able to support their project in full. Any donation, of any amount, will help us to be able to allow them to carry on their mission going forward!

“Everyone will answer that child education is important. However, children who fled the war have not been to school for more than three years and are far away from their education. Due to this, many local organizations are doing more than ever to teach children.

There are now many battles taking place in the Wat Latt Area. As you all know, the military council burned nearby villages when the fighting was over. Schools and monasteries are included in the burning. In addition, military council troops are using schools as temporary camps.

People have to build temporary tents and study on the ground because there is no place to study, according to the images that we collected.

In addition to a place to study, teachers are also in need of materials like books, pencils, and other teaching aids. Due to the attack by the military council on the evacuation camps, these items had to be left at the evacuation camps in case of battle. As a consequence, it is now urgently needed.”
