Providing a lifeline in Karen state

It is with great joy that we can share more photos from Waw Lay IDP camp in Karen State, Burma. There was a delay in receiving them as their internet connections are very poor, but we are so happy to finally have them.

The Waw Lay IDP camp is located in Karen state, in eastern Myanmar. It is home to around hundreds of internally displaced persons (IDPs), who have fled conflict and violence in other parts of the country. The camp is situated in a remote, rural area and is difficult to access.

A team of volunteers from the Karen community delivered aid to the camp. The team included doctors, nurses, and other medical staff who provided care to the sick and injured. The team also delivered food and other supplies to the camp. The volunteers worked around the clock to ensure that the people in the camp had what they needed. The team's efforts were a huge success, thanks to help from our wonderful donors! The people in the camp are now safer and have the supplies they need to rebuild their lives. The team's work is an example of the power of kindness and compassion.

It is unfortunate that we need to blur the images of the faces, but the Burmese military continues to punish anyone trying to help. Despite this, the people in the camp are doing their best to rebuild their lives.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated to this cause. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of these people. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are continuing to connect with local teams supporting IDPs throughout Karen state, and routinely receive urgent pleas for help as the assaults throughout the region from the Burmese military continue. Any contribution, no matter how small, can go a long way in meeting these requests and being able to allocate just a little more to those who have already lost so much, and are now just trying to survive.
