Recurring Donation: Needed now more than ever!
We referenced in an earlier post how support and engagement from the international community regarding the ongoing crisis in Myanmar has seen a sharp decrease in recent months. This decreased assistance has also come to affect us at Better Burma, and is now beginning to severely limit our work going forward of aiding these vulnerable populations impacted by the military coup.
As we rely entirely on individual donations given by kind-hearted supporters, the fluctuation from month to month can make it challenging to know what the groups we support can depend on. For this reason, we are asking all donors to please consider making a recurring donation.
You may set your recurring donation through either of our accounts on PayPal or Patreon. By committing to a consistent, monthly donation, Better Burma will be able to operate with something of a safety net, knowing the bare minimum we can come to expect each month.
We understand that all of us have different financial situations and needs, and so the recurring donation that one is able to commit to will depend upon this. We encourage donors to settle upon a number which causes little disturbance to your own life needs, while providing a steady support for our mission. For example, those with more means may find that a $100 monthly pledge causes little discernible impact on their needs, while for others a figure such as $30 may never be noticed. At minimum, many of us can likely commit to a monthly donation of $5 and never notice this amount being withdrawn from our account.
So, we kindly (yet urgently) request of you, to consider finding that monthly amount which will not stretch your means as a householder, while helping us to continue finding a way to support those groups who are now in a critical state.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
