A school principal still in hiding

Following is the testimonial of an educator who benefited from the donation fund that our supporters have go generously contributed to. Reading stories like these, it becomes possible to understand just how urgently needed (and how carefully applied) these contributions are, and how far they go! We stand by in support of those who courageously continue to undergo such enormous sacrifices to live by their ideals, and we thank all of our donors who have allowed them to do so.

“I am a school principal in a small town near [Redacted], and when the military staged a coup, I decided to join CDM and returned home. All of my school teachers joined CDM after me, and until today, nobody talks about returning to service. I am personally living very low profile because the authorities issued an order to arrest me, being the head master of the entire school. They tried to persuade one or two CDM teachers to return to school but the teachers refused to do so!

Since April 2021, five teachers under my supervision moved in to stay with me in a hiding place and we have not been able to go out to find jobs or to work in public for fear of arrest. Our families cannot support all of us, and we received support for just two persons from our team since July, which has been great support to our subsistence and welfare.”
