Relief near Saya Thet Gyi's village

After the Myanmar military continues to destroy its own communities one after the other, your donation supports these neighborhoods to immediately begin to rebuild. A few days ago, security forces concentrated their attack on Dala, a small town across Yangon River that is well-known by meditators who frequently pass through here on the way to the even smaller village of Pyaw Bwe Gyi, the hometown of Saya Thet Gyi (who taught Sayagyi U Ba Khin, who taught S.N. Goenka).

We have transferred some of the donation fund to provide medical, food, and other supplies to those who were hardest hit— including those who have preserved and honored the lineage of teachers within this vipassana tradition.
