Exploring new ways of giving

Recently, a veterinarian clinic in Australia reached out to us expressing an interest in making a donation on behalf of their staff to humanitarian missions in Myanmar, and requested if they could receive individual certificates in return for all their staff members. We responded with a resounding “Yes!”, and we are so grateful that this clinic is donating their hard-earned income during the holiday season to think of others who are in great need.

Better Burma has greatly appreciating all those who have stepped us to fundraise on our behalf this year, from a food table in Berlin to an online album release to grants from a partnership with the Buddhist Global Relief to newsletter announcements.

Frankly speaking, our very small team is stretched to the limit trying to manage all the tasks we have, from fundraising to media to advocacy to other work. So when an ally or another entity steps up to take on some organizing on their own part, we simply don’t have enough adequate words of appreciation for how you have come to support not only us, but much more importantly, the Burmese people going through one of their darkest times in years.

So if there is anything that you personally, or your network, community, organization, or corporation may be willing to do to collaborate, sponsor, support, or organize, we are flexible and very willing to engage! Please reach out to us with your idea, and anything at all that you are able to do to play a role is so incredibly needed and appreciated at this time. And, you can also donate directly to support our ongoing missions.
