A reason for the delay...

The Insight Myanmar Podcast launched in January 2020, and our goal has been to release an episode every 7-10 days. We have conducted around 20 interviews, and released four full episodes thus far. However, as you may have known, we are quite a bit behind schedule for the release of Episode #6, Ashin Sarana. Although the episode is 95% of the way done, we had some combined health and logistical problems that caused this delay. Our sound engineer was struck with typhoid fever and nearly fell into a coma , and our host was traveling internationally when he fell ill with a fever that lasted over a week. Additionally, to improve the sound quality of the last segment on our podcast where the host and co-host discuss the interview, we purchased a new mic so future conversations would be improved, and this was not an easy product to manage to get delivered to rural Thailand. In the midst of these delays, the world pandemic of the coronavirus put a strain on all members of our team as we are sure it has done so to you and your family and community.

With travel completed, products delivered, and health recovering, we hope we can return to our normal schedule. There is certainly a need at this point in time for more Dhamma wisdom to come to our world. We are also exploring possibilities for monastics and meditation teachers to talk with us specifically about how to keep calm and stay mentally healthy in these stressful times. If you have such a speaker in mind you would like to suggest as a guest, please contact us. I am sure we can all use this at this time.

In the meantime, we wish everyone to stay safe. May you be free of mental suffering, may you be free of physical suffering, may you live in peace and harmony.

We also hope that we can continue to provide this service, and a small reminder that all of our shows are 100% listener supported. if you would like to support our mission, we welcome your contribution. You may give via Patreon, via PayPal, or by credit card. If you are in Myanmar and would like to give a cash donation, please feel free to get in touch with us.
