"Don't be rude to the Sagaing Hills"

The following poem was recently written and shared, reflecting on the death and destruction the Burmese military is now bringing to the country’s heartland.

“Sagaing

The great region,

Aye Yar and Chindwin

Surrounded him.

The native of

King Kyan Sit and 

Alaung Phaya.

From Ledi, Man Le,

Mingun and Mahasī,

Where Dhamma Gongs were rung.

There was no space

For the hatred to other religions,

The trick of War Demons,

In this great region,

Where it was composed of

Physical and mental abilities.

But ..

The region where there are people

Who always sharpening the swords

For the war demons of Unfair Ruler.

In this area and history,

There's no plot to knee down.

There's no one shouting,

"Please, help."

A tear today is just for

The more tear down

The whetstone tomorrow.

Don't be rude to Sagaing

Through the military.

We'll lever off everything

That invaded us.

တိုင်းကြီး မဟာ

ဧရာနဲ့ ချင်းတွင်းက

သူ့ကို သိုင်းရစ်ထားတာပေါ့

မင်းကျန်စစ်နဲ့

အလောင်းမင်းတရားတို့ရဲ့

ချက်မြှပ်ရာ

လယ်တီ မန်လည်မှသည်

မင်းကွန်းနဲ့ မဟာစည်အထိ

ဓမ္မကြေးစည်ကြီးတွေ

မြည်ဟီးခဲ့ရာ

လက်ရုံးနဲ့ နှလုံးကို

အချိုးကျကျ

ဖွဲ့သီတတ်ရာ

ဒီဒေသမဟာမှာ

စစ်ဘီလူးရဲ့ မာယာ

ဘာသာခြားမုန်းပွဲတွေကိုလည်း

ရုံသွင်းခွင့် မပေးခဲ့ဘူး

အေး ......

တိုင်းပြည်ကို အမိုက်တိုက် သွင်းချင်တဲ့

တရားမဲ့မင်းရဲ့စစ်မိစ္ဆာတွေကိုတော့

အပြတ်ခွင်းဖို့

အမြဲဓါးသွေးထားသူတွေ

ရှိနေတဲ့အရပ်

ဒီအရပ်နဲ့ ဒီဇာတ်မှာ

ဓါးချ ဒူးထောက်ခန်းမပါဘူး

ကယ်ပါ ယူပါ တစာစာ

အော်နေသူတွေမရှိဘူး

ဒီနေ့ ကျတဲ့ မျက်ရည်တစက်ဟာ

မနက်ဖြန် ဓါးသွေးကျောက် ထပ်ခွက်ဖို့ပဲ

စစ်ကိုင်းကို

စစ်နဲ့ လာမရိုင်းနဲ့

ကျွံလာသမျှ

ကိုင်းထွက်သွားဖို့

အားလုံး

ဝိုင်းမကြမယ် ......။
