What started from a casual conversation...

The following update is from the Food For Nuns team, now in the process of collecting donation for Burmese Buddhist nuns around Yangon unable to receive proper food during this pandemic.

“We are very happy to announce the completion of the second stage of our project Food for Nuns. During this weekend we had the opportunity to donate food to 40 nunneries with over 400 nuns ranging from very young age to elderly ones.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On this occasion we have donated food for one month, and again, our most sincere appreciation goes to all the donors and volunteers who have made this project possible.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As some of you may know, this project started as a casual conversation between some friends, out of the wish to contribute in some way, but we were far from imagining that those words would take us so far; having the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of so many people.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is also a good time to remind ourselves of the importance of doing actions by body, speech, and mind, guided by principles of wisdom, kindness, and compassion. Blameless actions that are praiseworthy and result in happiness here and now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
May all the donors, volunteers and beneficiaries of this project be well and happy, may they be free from suffering.”
