A Request from the Yaw Region Committee
We have received the following request from a group which we have been supporting, but our current funds are not enough for their pressing needs. We share the following update with our generous donors, and humbly request that you may consider a donation of any size to support these vulnerable communities.
We are reaching out to extend a heartfelt request for your support on behalf of the Yaw Region Committee - Internally Displaced People (YRC-IDP). Our mission is to provide urgent food relief to over 21,000 individuals in the Yaw Region of Myanmar, who are currently facing severe food insecurity due to the aftermath of political unrest.
Recent assessments highlight that over 16,740 citizens in Gangaw township and 21,000 across the region are internally displaced and in dire need. YRC-IDP, a civil society organization, is at the forefront, collaborating with local administrative bodies to deliver food to these vulnerable communities, thereby reducing the overall burden on food resources.
Our immediate goal is to bring at least 205 people (up to 41 families) out of starvation and help them rebuild their livelihood within three months of initiating humanitarian assistance. This initiative covers Zone 1 (#1 #2 #3 IDP camps) in Gangaw township.
Here’s a breakdown of our project costs:
- Operational Cost: $2,020 USD
- Money Transfer Charges: $60 USD
- Car Rental Charges: $120 USD
- Labor Charges for Resource Distribution: $100 USD
- 50-kg Rice Bag x 96 Pieces: $1,920 USD
Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of those who are struggling to survive under these challenging conditions. We believe that with your help, we can alleviate the suffering and provide a beacon of hope for the future.
Thank you for considering our request. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you require further information or wish to discuss your potential contribution.
