Critical Humanitarian Support in Conflict Zones

The ongoing crisis in Myanmar has created a dire humanitarian situation, with widespread displacement and suffering among the affected population. The military council's actions have intensified the challenges faced by refugees, prompting the need for immediate assistance.

Our teams on the ground are actively involved in addressing the urgent needs of the affected communities, specifically focusing on KyatTuuYway and The' Inn Villages.

While we were trying to distribute palm oil and general food donations to 401 households, regrettably, we were only able to reach approximately one-third of the targeted households (133 out of 401). Despite the challenges, our dedicated teams are working tirelessly to expedite the distribution process and ensure that the remaining households receive the necessary aid promptly.

The military council's stronghold around Wetleg Region poses a significant challenge. With an estimated strength of approximately 640 personnel, their presence creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. Reports indicate that they are not only interested in interrogation but are also engaging in arbitrary arrests, further exacerbating the crisis.

The refugee population continues to grow, amplifying the urgency of our response. More than 400 households are currently in dire need of immediate assistance. The escalating situation underscores the critical importance of sustained efforts to provide relief to those affected by the crisis.

Our teams remain steadfast in their commitment to addressing the evolving needs on the ground. Coordinating with local partners and leveraging available resources, we are actively exploring avenues to expand our relief efforts and reach a larger number of households.
