Medical Needs in Sagaing
Sagaing Division is located in northwest Myanmar. It is one of the seven divisions of the country and is located on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwady River, which flows through the center of the country. Sagaing Division is home to a diverse population and has a long history dating back to the early centuries of the common era. The region is known for its cultural and religious significance, and is home to many monasteries and temples. However, in recent years, as the following report goes into detail describing, Sagaing Division has been affected by ongoing conflict and political instability in Myanmar.
The medical list provided below outlines a range of items that are needed to provide assistance to internally displaced people in Sagaing Division. These items include basic necessities such as food and water, as well as medical supplies such as medication and first aid kits. It is clear that these individuals are facing significant hardships and are in need of urgent assistance. Any contribution would be of great help to them at this time.

The Sagaing region was once a peaceful rice-growing region of Bamar. As a result of the coup, it has become a place where bad news is always heard with almost gruesome predictability. Many war refugees are suffering from a variety of hardships for which there is very little assistance coming from any direction.
Myinmu township in particular is a place where the military situation is especially tense. Under Min Aung Hlaing's command, a military army platoon that entered Kantaw village was burned on 29th April 2022. This incident resulted in the destruction of 399 houses.
The forest is a refuge for many people (women, men, girls, boys, and old people) escaping torture, killing and arrest in Myanmar, especially in the Sagaing province. Still, even doing fleeing to here does not provide any real safety, as it still may put our lives at risk if the army finds us. Natural disasters and wild snakes pose dangers because of living in the forest. Military inspections often result in the confiscation of medicines transported for medical purposes. Consequently, food and medicine are both needed.
We are now in touch with underground medical teams who are providing assistance to these internally displaced peoples as much as they can, however they are now critically short on a number of much-needed items. We also have secure transport methods which do not put our teams at risk, and we can assure that the items reach their target. They are requesting our help to providing these as much as we can. Unfortunately, we do not have any current donation funds to allocate for this, so we desperately request your kindness in providing anything at all which can help at this time.
And if any donor may like to give larger amounts to support these critical need, we can provide documentation and reports of the aid being given, although we must withhold certain specific details for our safety.
