Aid allocated to IDP camps in Waw Lay, Karen State
Two weeks ago we sent out an urgent call for funds to support the growing needs of IDPs across Karen state. We have sent on all the donations that came our way, and our local partners have updated their progress with photos and text. They write:
“Despite the recent challenges, the ground team in collaboration with KNDO successfully distributed aid supplies to a total of 300 internally displaced persons (adults) from the Waw Lay region. The aid supplies consist of canned sardines, cooking oil, instant noodles, sleeping mats, and blankets. We express our sincere gratitude to Better Burma for your steadfast commitment and partnership with the [Redacted organization] in providing aid to the destitute and the displaced people.”
We express tremendous gratitude to all our donors who responded to our call and allowed us to provide this life-saving support! As there continues to be unmet needs at additional camps, any further donation can go towards helping to shield these innocents from the continued violence waged by the Burmese military.
