"Put your Dhamma into Compassionate Action."

I thank Alan Clements so much for his recent message in support of our work. Take a listen to Alan talking about his book, "Burma: Voices of Freedom,” or listen to his spiritual biography in coming to Burma to meditate at Mahasi monastery during the bad old days of dictatorship.

Put your Dhamma into Compassionate Action.

Please join the team’s tireless work at “Insight Myanmar.”

They are a dynamic example of the power of sustained creative activism that I pray inspires every Buddhist, every meditator, every mindfulness practitioner and every lover of freedom and democracy worldwide to support Insight Myanmar and in so doing learn ways to participate in Burma’s life and death struggle to resist the attempt of genocide by Myanmar’s dictator Min Aung Hlaing.

The horror occurring in Burma offers a sacred opportunity of unprecedented proportions to put our Dhamma— active Dana, Metta and Karuna — into action. The tiniest deeds done mindfully and en masse will assure victory. As Daw Aung San Suu Kyi once told me, everybody can do their part, even the monks and nuns. No one is an island.

Please reach out to Insight Myanmar today and join the Revolution; give yourself the gift of conscience and joy by putting your meditation into simple deeds of action. Actions that feed those starving, bandage those bleeding, clothing those raped. And help bring relief, security and peace to the tortured masses. Let us put ourselves in their position — as a child — and ask ourselves, what would I like to have at this moment. Please give it. Ask those at Insight Myanmar how best to help the good people of Burma.
