Supporting the Calvary and Peace Center Orphanage

We were happy to use some of your donation to bring food and supplies to the Calvary Peace Center in Dala, across from Yangon. Following this, the wonderful team took the kids to the nearby beach, for a break from the terror engulfing the country, as a scout had made sure beforehand that soldiers were not present in this area for these hours and so they would not be at risk of gunfire or abduction.

This was the first trip that this volunteer group was able to make in over two weeks, since the COVID spread has become so serious throughout the country. They are now beginning work on a plan to support those with medicine and oxygen as the pandemic worsens.

A word about the good work that the Calvary Peace Center orphanage has been doing for over 60 years. Originally set up in Shan State, they have been in Dalla for 23 years now, and currently around 50 children are cared for.
