Donating Food in Hlaing Thayar

Many know about the recent terror that was inflicted upon the poor slums of Hlaing Thayar. What is far less known is the aftermath. Many of the dead were whisked away by the soldiers as the military continues its bizarre practice of secretly disposing of corpses. Many more lay grievously injured or in critical need of food or supplies, while the military fired upon any medical personnel and even food delivery teams who tried to reach the area, and issued orders that the entire region was now under Martial Law.

Fortunately, we were able to use the donation fund that you have been so generously contributing to. Volunteers took the risk to visit one district, Dai Su, in Hlaing Thayar. Here they distributed bags of dry rations for over one hundred households, including eggs, dry noodles, cooking oil, potatoes, onions, dried fish, and more.

Thanks to your contribution, we were able to get food into one of the hardest hit areas and provide sustenance for those living through this terror. Thank you, and please consider sharing this as the need continues to be overwhelming and we are trying to reach ever more communities.
