A visit to Le Planteur Restaurants & Lounges

We received the following submission we are sharing with our readers:

Hello, my name is Franklin and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Le Planteur Restaurants & Lounges in Yangon. I have to say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish.

To begin with, the atmosphere at Le Planteur was simply breathtaking. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored colonial mansion, and the decor is elegantly understated, with lush greenery, crisp white linens, and warm candlelight. It was the perfect setting for a romantic dinner, and I couldn't help but feel swept away by the ambiance of the place.

As for the food, well, it was simply divine. I ordered the pan-seared duck breast with fig compote and it was cooked to perfection – the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and tender. The fig compote was a delicious accompaniment, adding just the right amount of sweetness to the dish. I also sampled the truffle fries, which were absolutely heavenly. They were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, and the truffle flavor was subtle but noticeable.

The service at Le Planteur was impeccable. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and she made sure that our every need was met. She was also kind enough to recommend a few dishes to us based on our preferences, and I have to say, she was spot on with her recommendations.

One minor complaint I do have, however, is that there was a group of loud, drunk Germans sitting at a nearby table who were getting increasingly rowdy as the night went on. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means, but it did detract from the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Overall, I have to say that Le Planteur Restaurants & Lounges is an absolutely delightful place to dine. The atmosphere is romantic and elegant, the food is delicious, and the service is top-notch. The only downside is the occasional noisy, drunken party, but even that couldn't ruin the overall experience. I highly recommend giving Le Planteur a try if you're in Yangon – you won't be disappointed!
