One of the poorer countries in the world with a per capita income of $1,200, Myanmar is girding for the brutal onslaught of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus that has surged across the Earth and overwhelmed the economies and hospitals of far richer nations.
People in Mandalay, the 2nd biggest city in Myanmar are quite affected by the sudden slowdown. They struggle to find food.
Aung Ko Ko, a Mandalay's dweller, a friend and hotel manager, decide to launch a food's distribution campaign.
Please support him if you can by going to his website here.
When you want to help but you aren't physically able to do something yourself, there is still a lot that one can do and ways to help. This is why we have chosen to assist in fundraising for a really worthy cause.
Aung Ko Ko, a young hotel manager from Mandalay's Royal Yadanarborn Hotel really wanted to help those suddenly left in need of food be cause of the current situation. He joined forces with his friend Han Lin Aung and Lucia, a nurse from Argentina.
Together they are collecting funds buying supplies and delivering food to over 70 families in need in Mandalay.
These families include but are not limited to street food vendors flower sellers, building workers and rickshaw drivers.
As always, the generosity that has been shown has been inspiring.
And just goes to prove the amazing compassion of those who want to help others.
Thanks again to one and all.
Everything comes back.
