Meditation guidance from Beth (Sayalay Anuttara)

Beth (previously Anuttara) was ordained as a Buddhist nun for ten years in the Pa Auk tradition of Myanmar. She now teaches meditation, and in this time of the coronovirus, is offering online meditation instruction to anyone who would like to practice at home.

See her message below and if you would like to receive instruction send her an email at sayalay.anuttara@gmail.com. Following is her personal message:

Dear friends, As so many of us now find ourselves staying at home, I thought some of us might like to use this time to deepen our meditation. And so, I have decided to offer individual meditation instruction via zoom to anyone who is using this time for practice. As usual, all teaching will be given by dana, meaning you are free to offer whatever you feel is right. As I will be fitting this around several other commitments, I would first like to gauge the level of interest. Therefore, if you would like to receive instruction over the coming weeks please let me know as soon as possible. Once I know how many people are interested I will then draw up a schedule with the aim of starting next week. If any of you would like to offer dana to support this work the account details are as follows:

Updated information:

Some people have asked if they can book sessions for a group. Yes, this is fine, so long as you arrange the technology for getting all your group to the same zoom meeting. For those of you with groups of more than three people, please feel free to book two consecutive slots.

Some of you have asked how regularly you can book a slot. Please feel free to book as often as you like. But please only book one slot at a time. This means please wait until after you have spoken with me to book your next slot. If there is then still a slot free for the next day, you may book it if you like.

Some of you have asked if you can forward this to friends. Yes, of course! Everyone is welcome.

Lastly, some of you have asked if I could host a daily group meditation. I think this is a great idea, and I will work over the coming days to see how I may be able to fit that in.
