Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey: "Myanmar is an absolutely beautiful country."

Myanmar Pilgrimage was honored that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey chose our agency to plan his Dhamma pilgrimage on a recent visit to Myanmar. As Mr. Dorsey noted in his twitter feed, he sat a 10-day silent meditation retreat at the Vipassana center in Pyin Oo Lwin. As he later shared in his Twitter feed, “I’ve been meditating for 20 years, with the last 2 years focused on vipassana. After experiencing it in Texas last year, I wanted to go to the region that maintained the practice in its original form. That led me to Myanmar.”

Myanmar Pilgrimage was formed with the unique mission of serving meditators and spiritual seekers coming to the Golden Land, basing our trips off of the exhaustive volunteer project “Shwe Lan Ga Lay”, a meditator’s guidebook that researched monasteries, pagodas, caves, and other Dhamma sites critical to the development of Myanmar’s meditative history.

We take our pilgrims off the beaten path to explore the lineage of teachers who ardently practiced meditation and taught the Dhamma to subsequent generations, and who eventually shared this liberating technique with many people around the world. Pilgrims have a chance to meditate, discuss Dhamma with monks and teachers, give dana (donation), and are told about the anecdotes and histories of these important sites.

If you would like to plan your own pilgrimage to The Golden Land, we are more than happy to assist in your noble efforts. See more information at https://www.myanmarpilgrimage.com/
